Training Camp Rundown - Tight Ends - University Of Tennessee At

Sign up for the C Club Today! Believe it or not, the Chattanooga Mocs are six full days into training camp, after wrapping up another morning workout on Monday. The season opener is just over three weeks away on Thursday, August 28, at Central Michigan. Be sure to get your season tickets and be ready for the first home game on Saturday, September 6, against potential top 10 foe Jacksonville State. GoMocs.com opened its full preview of the upcoming campaign on Friday with a rundown of the offensive line . The Chattanooga Times Free Press was full of Mocs coverage over the weekend, including Saturdays take on the intensity at practice , Sundays feature on the music in practice and a recap on the first day in pads , along with todays article about the Mocs emphasis on ball security . The Chattanoogan.com also had features on junior defensive lineman Daniel Ring and the talented receiving corps . Today, GoMocs.com continues its Training Camp Rundown with a look at the tight ends. One of the most versatile positions on the field, the tight ends are big weapons in the Mocs offense. There are some really good kids and football is important to them, said head coach Russ Huesman . I think we are athletic at that position and I feel really good about it, overall. Led by senior preseason All-American Faysal Shafaat (6-5, 250), there are five talented student-athletes competing for time on the field. Shafaat is coming off an outstanding season that saw him lead the team with 35 catches for 322 receiving yards and six touchdowns. He was a first team All-Southern Conference pick and is again a preseason all-league selection. I feel like we have a good, solid group of guys, stated tight ends coach Chris Harr . We have two older guys who have taken a lot of snaps in Faysal Shafaat and Troy Dye . They are good playmakers who do everything we ask of them. Shafaat was a third team All-American in 2012 when he had 295 receiving yards and five scores on 37 receptions. His 13 career receiving TDs rank No. 6 on the Mocs all-time list, and he is on the College Football Performance Awards Watch List for tight ends for the third year in a row. Junior Troy Dye (6-3, 245) is the other experienced returner Harr mentioned. Dye played in all 12 games last season, making two starts when Chattanooga opened with a two-tight end formation. Dye finished with five catches for 57 yards, including a 17-yard TD catch against Western Carolina. We played a lot with two tight ends, added Huesman. Youre going to have to have four tight ends travel because they are such important special teams guys. Troy Dye will be on a bunch of them, Malcolm Colvin will be in a bunch of them, Kevin Niethammer on a bunch of them. Sophomore Kevin Niethammer (6-3, 240) is one of those special teams pieces Huesman talked about. He played in all 11 games last season, and was a mainstay on special teams. An Academic All-SoCon student-athlete, he also earned the SoCon Commissioners Medal. Malcolm Colvin (6-2, 230) returns after sitting out last season as a redshirt. He is a former two-star prep prospect who looks to work his way into the lineup. Camp is going good, added Shafaat. With five tight ends in camp, its a little bit of a relief for the older guys, since we dont have to go every single rep. Both Malcolm and Niethammer have been doing a great job of running routes and catching passes. The lone newcomer to the group is Chattanooga native Bailey Lenoir (6-4, 245). He is another two-star prep prospect who joins the Mocs from East Hamilton High School. A versatile athlete, Lenoir also lettered in basketball and tennis. Weve had our ups and downs, stated Huesman. There have been some drops, but weve also had a lot of really nice plays and catches. Were just beginning to get into the competition as far as the one-on-one situations, blocking and winning your individual battle. I think they are all progressing the way they should. For an even further inside look at the Mocs tight ends, check out the photo gallery and MocVision video accompanying this story. Be sure to check back to GoMocs.com throughout camp for updates on all of the positions on the field. Dont forget that tailgating spaces in the First Tennessee Pavilion are available now. With power and cable TV hookups, dont miss out on a spot in one of the most unique tailgating experiences in college football. <br>Full story: http://www.gomocs.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_LANG=C&DB_OEM_ID=17700&ATCLID=209604599

July 28, 1914: Austria-hungary's Calamitous Last Hurrah - Yahoo

"Vienna thought it was probable that Russia would enter the war but... it was thought that their ally Germany, either with threats or by entering the war, could keep Russia in check," Ortner said. In Berlin Kaiser Wilhelm II, grandson of Britain's Queen Victoria, had issued in early July his famous "blank cheque" saying that 83-year-old Franz Joseph could rely "in this case, as in all others, upon Germany's full support". "Berlin didn't realise what it was getting into... They thought this was just another Balkan crisis, of which there had been several. Only once it became clear that Russia was mobilising was it realised how dramatic the situation was." - Belle epoque - View gallery A woman walks past a huge photo of Russian soldiers in World War I at an exhibition in Moscow, on Ju Vienna before 1914 was a grand imperial metropolis of two million people, a city of light of technology, its crystal-mirrored cafes a haven for intellectuals, scientists, avant-garde artists and musicians. "It was a golden age of security," Austrian author Stefan Zweig would write later. "Slipping back to barbarity, to war between the peoples of Europe, was as unimaginable as witches and ghosts." The strains were already showing in an empire then encompassing 50 million people speaking a dozen languages, and even before go Franz Ferdinand was killed it was http://yutlawbreid.livejournal.com/26354.html feared that when his uncle the emperor died, so might his realm. But the global conflict that the doddering Franz Joseph -- who passed in 1916 -- unleashed from his Bad Ischl summer residence dealt an even more devastating blow to his empire than any had expected. <br>More: http://news.yahoo.com/july-28-1914-austria-hungarys-calamitous-last-hurrah-050019512.html

Usa Vs Germany Live Stream Free: How To Watch Fifa World Cup 201

But in the fifth and final minute of injury time at the end of the game, Portugal equalized to break USA hearts. In the squad's view website final World Cup Group G game, USA manager Jurgen Klinsmann is leading his current squad against his national team, where he carried his squad (as German superstar player) to three World Cup appearances, highlighted by winning the World Cup title 24 years ago. "I don't think that we are made for draws, really, except if it happens like tonight -- two late goals, last seconds," said Klinsmann to reporters. "I think both teams go into this game and they want to win the group." Germany will attempt to advance into the knockout stage of the World Cup, but also need a result today, after they failed to defeat Ghana in their second game. Germany is currently tied with USA in first place in Group G standings with 4 points after finishing their last game versus Ghana in a 2-2 draw on Saturday. If Germany finishes their final Group G match against USA with a victory or a tie, they will clinch the top spot in the standings and enter the knockout stage. A Kim Kardashian draw between USA and Germany would suit both teams as it would guarantee both progress. However, neither team is likely to sit back in this one, and it would be a dangerous game for either to attempt to do so. The game starts at 12 p.m. <br>More: http://www.breathecast.com/articles/usa-vs-germany-live-stream-free-how-to-watch-fifa-world-cup-2014-soccer-online-16588/
